Spanish footballer Gerard Pique and pop star Shakira, couldn’t help but watch their son Milan shed tears after Italy sent Spain packing from Euro 2016.
The Colombian singer posted pictures of the lovely boy sobbing on his mom’s shoulder with singer Carlos Vives watching, shortly after the match ended on Monday.
Milan watching Barca’s match with mom and sibling. He may not know much about football but he sure understood his father lost a war during the match against Italy in Euro 2016.
Milan is seen with his mom and some other relatives sitting high up in the stands at Stade de France. The young man cried uncontrollably while Shakira looked helpless. It was a bad time for the family, indeed.
If he could cry at Pique’s loss [as one of his dad’s most loyal fans], it’s possible he knows his name is synonymous with those men who put him in a bad mood, too.
Probably, Shakira and Pique are considering a change of name right now.
The South American singer posted the photo posted the picture on Twitter with a caption that read: “Consoling Milan after Italy’s goal.” The picture says it all.
La Roja fell 2-0 to Antonio Conte’s men, in a match that disappointed many fans as Spain never expected they would leave Euro 2016 in the first knockout stage.
That defeat marked an end to a historical 12 years the country has never conceaded defeated in a European game. Spain is the current holders, having won the tournament in 2008 and 2012 after beating Italy in the final four years ago.
Coach Vicente del Bosque tendered his resignation following the disgraceful outing. It is unclear if he will rescind his plans and continue as Spain’s national team coach.
