There’s no golf for Donald Trump this weekend. A Marine is stationed outside the West Wing of the White House, signalling the US president is at home.

He’s got a lot to think about and seems to be in a “difficult spot” with the war in Iran, US journalist James Matthews says.

Trump has threatened “hell” on Iran if it doesn’t reopen the Strait of Hormuz, but Matthews points out that the US president might risk turning the Iranian people completely against him if he steps up attacks.

“I don’t think we’re any closer to getting a coherent US strategy,” Matthews adds.
