John Legend agreed with Kanye West on racism in America

Back in November 2016, shortly before Kanye West was hospitalized during his “Saint Pablo” tour, he said “America is racist” but everyone thought he was insane.

In fact, doctors at UCLA Medical Center did confirm that he suffered “mental psychosis”.

John Legend has stepped forward to back up Yeezy’s claim after a disrespectful paparazzi called him a “monkey”.

The “All Of Me” singer claims he’s not really mad at the unlettered U.S. resident but feels sad that colored people still suffer such dehumanizing treatment in the year 2017.

Although Legend criticized the uncivilized photographer for his prejudicial words, the 38-year-old says he’s “smarter and stronger”.

The award-winning R&B singer spoke with Variety at this year’s Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, saying: “We were right next to each other and we looked at each other like, ‘Did he really just say that?’ And he really said it. He basically called me a monkey.

“Black folks have had to deal with being called monkeys for a long time and dehumanization has always been a method of racism and subjugation of black people. That’s just part of American history and it’s part of the present, apparently.

“We saw it with the former president, Obama, whenever people wanted to discount him or discount his wife, they compared them to apes. And we’ve seen that frequently.

“You know, I’m not hurt by someone saying that to me because I’m smarter, I’m stronger.

“I look down on that person that would say something like that, but it’s a shame that still exists.”

John Legend and his wife share a beautiful daughter Luna Simone Stephens, who is just nine months old.

The couple took to social media to interact with fans on their painful experience, drawing sympathy and support from a large number of people.

Chrissy Teigen was with her husband at JFK airport where they were verbally attacked.

She said: “Paparazzi at JFK just asked me ‘if we evolved from monkeys, why is John Legend still around?’ – and people wonder why celebs lose it in pics.

“I was very kind. Answered cooking questions, then he came with that. F*****g disgusting.

“Guess we’ll find him when he puts the video out. That he edits the s**t out of since he didn’t get clocked.

“He also went from ‘what’s an easy recipe to make at home’ to ‘if a Jew were a vampire, would he still be afraid of crosses?'”(sic).

The New York photographer reportedly hurled racial abuse at the couple in order to get an angry reaction but Legend and his wife didn’t fall for the trap.

  1. The USA is supposed to be a land of freedom. but people never want peace until they’re faced with war. Give them what they want, hate for hate. Then it’ll all end one day.
