Puppy-Love: The only thing we need to make life worth living

Super duper love, that kind of affection from Jesus Christ to the world, is exactly what we need to make this world a better place. Even dogs know this.

In far away Uzhgorod, a location in Ukraine, one wounded dog was too hurt to move away from the railway track. What led to her injury remains unknown, but it appeared she was there on a suicide mission, having given up on life.

Lucy [the wounded dog’s name] waited for a fast moving train to hasten her death, but love changed the world when she least expected it.

A male dog named Panda, who happened to be around the railway line sighted Lucy and noticed she was hurt. Shortly after they met each other, he refused to abandon her for dead as a train approached.

Panda risked his life for the stranger by jumping on the track. He quickly laid very close to her female friend, and used his head to hold Lucy down for the speed train to pass.

The healthy canine stayed by her side for two days without food or water until animal rescuers were alerted, according to Denis Malafeyev.

“When we arrived, it turned out that one of the dogs, the female, was injured and couldn’t move. All this time, the healthy canine was trying to protect her,” an emotional Denis wrote.

“The male dog heard the sound of the approaching train, came close to the female dog and laid down next to her… Both of them pushed their heads towards the ground, and let the train pass.

“The male dog was doing this for two days in a row. Think about it. He was keeping her warm.”

Panda and Lucy were rescued and given medical assistance before they were returned to their owners, Denis confirmed.

Wouldn’t the world be a better place if humans can learn to love in this way?
