Man Steals TV in 1989, Reports Himself to Police After Decades

A man who stole a TV set from the Norwalk Jewish Center since 1987 made a weird decision to turn himself in for an arrest recently. The former custodian at the center has been on the run for about 27 years but seem to have had a change of heart.

Reports from The Hour confirm that Randy Iannacone, 60, escaped arrest in Florida at the time of the crime but decided to report at the police station last weekend after he learnt there’s a warrant for his arrest.

Police rep said the fugitive lived Port St. Lucie, Florida. He arrived at the police headquarters on Sunday with a letter notifying him of the warrant.

The old man has been arrested as he wished and now charged with third-degree larceny.

He was released with a promise to appear in court next week.

An officer of the law Lieutenant Paul Resnick admitted it was “pretty cool” that Iannacone turned himself in.
