Jese Rodriguez has issued a rallying call to his Real Madrid teammates ahead of Saturday’s fixture against Deportivo la Coruna.

Los Blancos visits Riazor knowing they have to win the game if they are to have any chance of snatching the title on the final day. Real Madrid will also be hoping that rivals Barcelona do not claim all three points against Granada at Los Carmenes.

The striker spoke to Madrid’s official media and made it clear that the players must fight to the end.

Jese said: “We are preparing for Depor as just one more game, yet we must look ourselves in the face and go for it because we cannot fail.

“The worse thing would be if we didn’t win and there was a surprise in Granada, so we will go out with the intention of winning, as usual.

“We really want to win this last League match. It doesn’t depend on us to win the title but we can’t afford to slip up.

“We are Real Madrid and have to win. Then we must wait to see what happens in Granada.”

The 23-year-old believes Madrid have worked hard enough to reach this final stage of the La Liga. Los Blancos have trailed both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid a better part of the season and Cristiano Ronaldo’s side needs luck more than ever before.

Jese continued, “I’m not surprised we are where we are because we’ve worked hard for many months to be there. Sometimes things don’t go as you’d like, or the results have not been with us, but we’ve always given our lives for this shirt, this badge and the supporters.

“Our fans are amazing. They are always encouraging us and I’d also like to congratulate them for Madrid being in the Champions League final.

“We know that first we have a final on Saturday, then Milan, and we’ll try to finish the season as best we can for them because they’ve always supported us throughout it.”
