Cristiano Ronaldo Would Have Played Against City If…

Cristiano Ronaldo has made it clear that he would have played for Real Madrid against Manchester City if the match which ended goalless was the Champions League Final.

The famous player and his coaching crew probably knew it would be reasonable to save the best for the last.

Ronaldo was ruled out with what Marca reports is a new problem, not the same one that saw him unavailable for the weekend’s win over Rayo Vallecano. He failed a fitness test before the game against Manchester City.

“It’s sensible. I’ll wait. If it was a final, I would have played,” he told reporters prior to kick-off at the Etihad Stadium, Marca says.

There’s also a report that Ronaldo might be a question mark for next week’s second leg, as well as the weekend’s forthcoming game against Real Sociedad.

Ronaldo will have further tests when he returns to Madrid with the team, but it’s suggested the problem will only further damage the relationship between the forward and Madrid’s doctor, Jesus Olmo. Both haven’t been having it rosy recently.
