Barcelona have reportedly increased Sergi Roberto´s contract to €40m considering that the footballer has played 60 per cent of their games this season.

Sergi is a product of the club’s La Masia academy. He has played in 22 La Liga games; five Copa del Rey matches; three Champions League ties; and was also featured in the Catalan’s squad for the Spanish Supercup as well as the Club World Cup.
The 24-year-old has received commendations for his exploits from Barca boss, Luis Enrique. “The coach has been particularly impressed by the player’s versatility,” a report said.
In Barca’s recent matches, Sergi Roberto has played as a right back whenever Dani Alves is not available. He has also been used as a midfielder substituting for Ivan Rakitic, Sergi Busquets and Andres Iniesta at different times.
The Reus-born Spain international’s current agreement runs until June 2019.
