Hulk Hogan To Get $115 Million In Damages.

Quite a big win for Hulk Hogan, one might say. And a big loss for Gawker’s  founder Nick Denton (right) and editor A.J. Daulerio (left)  who both sat emotionless in the courtroom while the jury read out the verdict on Friday.

The jury of six in Florida awarded a total of $115 million in damages to the wrestler Hulk Hogan who joyfully hugged his lawyer in the courtroom amid tears.

Hulk Hogan won his lawsuit against Gawker (a website) for posting a leaked sex video of him having intercourse with his best friend’s wife.

The said amount awarded is for economic injuries ($55million) and emotional distress ($60million).

Gawker is expected to appeal the judgement but as in line with Florida laws, the website must pay the monetary damages.
