Man Utd wing-back Patrick Dorgu has said he was “shocked” that international team-mate Rasmus Hojlund left Old Trafford this summer, following the signing of Benjamin Sesko.
Hojlund joined Napoli on Transfer Deadline Day on an initial loan. The 22-year-old’s move will become permanent should Napoli qualify for the Champions League, with the total cost of the deal, including loan fee, understood to be worth a potential £43m.
“That’s how it is in football,” said Dorgu, as quoted by the Daily Mail. “You never know when it’s your turn to move on.
“We knew that it would happen to Christian [Eriksen], but it was perhaps a bigger shock that Rasmus had to move on. I talked to him a lot during the process and could sense which way it was going.
“Hopefully, we will now see each other every time on the national team.”
