West Ham have now confirmed Lucas Paqueta’s move to Flamengo after the Brazilian club’s announcement a few hours ago.
The Premier League side’s brief statement thanks the Brazil international for his contribution and wishes him well.
Paqueta joins Flamengo in a deal worth £36.5m and gets his wish to return home.
He asked to leave for personal and family reasons. West Ham reluctantly accepted his transfer request.
