Chelsea youngster Kendry Paez has switched loan clubs to River Plate.
The deal is a straight loan with no option to buy.
An agreement was reached for him to end his spell at Chelsea’s sister side, Strasbourg, and spend the rest of the season in Argentina.
Paez, 18, scored once in 15 Ligue 1 appearances in the first half of the campaign. He also played five times for them in the UEFA Conference League.
Paez still has seven years remaining on his Chelsea contract after signing from Independiente del Valle last year.
Yesterday, ambitious River Plate announced they are expanding their stadium to over 100,000 people to become the second-largest stadium in world football.
