More than 850 US Tomahawk missiles used on Iran so far – report

More than 850 Tomahawk missiles have been fired by the US in the Iran war so far, the Washington Post reported.

The rate at which the military is using the missiles has alarmed some Pentagon officials, leading to internal discussions about how to make more available, ‌according to the report, which cites people familiar with the matter.

White House press secretary ‌Karoline Leavitt told the Reuters news agency the US military had “more than enough” weapons stockpiles to achieve its military goals in Iran “and beyond”.

“Nevertheless, President Trump has always been intensely focused ‌on (strengthening) our Armed Forces and he will continue to call on defence contractors to more speedily build American-made weapons, which are the best in the world,” Leavitt said.
