Carrie Underwood, the 33-year-old American country star who’s married to an NHL player Mike Fisher, has kindly shared her secrets to a successful marriage.
The famous songstress celebrated her sixth wedding anniversary with Mike, 36, in July. And the couple are proud parents to Isaiah, who is only 19 months old.
While most people believe celebrity marriages don’t last, Carrie and Mike have proven that a successful marriage is what we make of it – even with their careers and the busy schedules that come with it.
“It’s all about being supportive of one another,” she said.
“He’s my best friend and we love our family, that’s what it’s all about.
“We sacrifice for each other and compromise for each other and do our best to spend as much time as we possibly have with each other.
“It’s about putting your family and relationship first,” she explains.

Though the Checotah native maintains her husband and marriage comes first, she adds that Isaiah is also a priority for both of them.
Underwood reveals she takes her son along whenever she has to travel around for shows, adding that she marvels at how big the boy is growing.
In her words: “Every day is something new. He [Isaiah] says more and more words, recognizes new things. He loves to sing, he loves to climb. He’s everywhere, and it’s wonderful!”
On whether she’s expecting another child with Mike, the seven Grammy Awards Winner said: “I definitely hope so!”
“You never know what the good Lord has in store, but right now I’m on the road and Mike’s on the road. We FaceTime each other every day! But we’ll see what happens.”

Talking about the lyrics from her newest track “Dirty Laundry” and what Mike thinks of it, she said: “He knows I sing country music, and cheating songs are a part of the territory.
“He’s all right with it!” she added.
ET Online described Underwood as a doting mom after she posted Isaiah’s picture on Instagram 2 months ago with the caption: “He soaks in the sunshine…and I realize that he is mine… I don’t deserve such sweetness! #blessed #momlife”
On how the couple are training their new born, the songwriter-actress said: “Mike and I talk about teaching him how to approach everybody in a loving way, even if they’re not the same, and to try to say, ‘You know what? God loves them, so it should be my job to my best to love them as well.”
Underwood attended CMT Artists of the Year ceremony on Thursday night, looking awesome like the goddess she is – in a black and gold dress with metallic prints.
It was a huge surprise for the star as she was announced winner of 2016 CMT Artist of the Year.
“Thank you, Mike, for just being so supportive throughout this tour,” she said with teary eyes.
“It’s been so much fun being on the road. It’s definitely hard being away from you. But you’re the best.
“The people I work with, again, I’m just so blessed. I’m so lucky I have the best people surrounding me and thank God for you guys.”
Latest reports confirm that Carrie Underwood’s debut album has set another record.
“Some Hearts” has been certified eight-times platinum by the RIAA, according to a post from the musician.
No country album released since 2000 has been certified platinum more times than Underwood’s 2005 album.
Underwood is currently on the road for her Storyteller Tour: Stories in the Round arena tour, which is scheduled to end Nov. 28 in West Valley City, Utah.
Reports on her tour say her performance in New York City’s legendary Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night was heated. Her tickets for more than 18,000 fans was all sold-out.
“Carrie has developed a fantastic stage show … that manages to be both visually dazzling and intimate at the same time. She has managed to sustain a career by having incredibly savvy songs,” Bob Oermann, a famous music critic and country music historian who was present at the show, said.
