‘Several countries’ have offered to host Putin-Trump talks, says Kremlin aide

Russia has received proposals from various countries to host talks between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, according to a Kremlin aide.

Yuri Ushakov declined to say which countries had made offers.

Trump has said he wants to swiftly end the war in Ukraine but is yet to make public how he intends to do so. Yesterday, he said Putin wanted to hold a meeting with him “as soon as possible”.

The Russian president said last week that he was ready to compromise over Ukraine in possible talks with Trump and that he had no conditions for starting talks with the Ukrainian authorities.
