Crystal Palace are confident of agreeing a deal to sign Sidiki Cherif from French club Angers.
Palace are looking to close the transfer at a price significantly lower than the €25m (£21.7m) fee being cited elsewhere.
The 19-year-old has signalled his willingness to join Palace so if a club-to-club agreement can be reached the deal is expected to move quickly.
Cherif is a highly-rated forward that can play through the middle and out wide.
Most of his games this season for Angers have come as a central striker.
Cherif has scored four goals in 17 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
He made his professional debut for Angers in 2024 when he had just turned 17.
