The “Titanic” actress opened up about her childhood bullies and how she had the last laugh with her successful career in acting. She spoke with Billy Bush, the anchor of Today‘s Show.

Kate, 40, said: “I was kind of bullied when I was younger, actually at school.”

She explains: “For being chubby, you know, I had girls who were envious of me because I was acting a little bit as a teenager.”

She continued in her explanations: “This is my revenge. This right here, this lovely career I have been blessed with. I have healthy children. You know, I have a really happy life and, to me, it’s like, ‘Well, look at me now girls!'”

Kate [also known as English Rose or Corset Kate] received her 7th Academy Award nomination for the role she played as Joanna Hoffman in the blockbuster titled Steve Jobs.

Though the British actress has achieved a lot in the movie industry, her family life hasn’t been at all smooth sailing. She has been divorced twice and is currently in her third marriage.

Far back in 1998, Kate got married to an Assistant Director named Jim Threapleton, who’s known for his work in “The Mummy” (1999) and “The Governess” (1998). Their marriage was blessed with a beautiful daughter named Mia Honey Threapleton in October 2000.

Her marriage crashed in the year 2001, and the actress later wedded Sam Mendes, a Movie Director. Her second husband is an author who writes children’s books.

Kate and Mendes tied the knots in 2003. In the same year, they had a son named Joe Alfie Winslet-Mendes.

Unfortunately, Kate’s second marriage which lasted a period of 7 years also ended in divorce. The couple announced their separation in February 2010 but legal procedures delayed paperworks until October 2010.

Three times lucky, she found love again in 2012.

Kate is currently married to Ned Rocknroll and both have a son. Importantly, it’s worthy of note that her newest hasband’s last name–Rock n Roll–isn’t actually his real name. But that would be cool if it was, don’t you think?

Rocknroll’s real names are Edward Abel Smith. He has a good reason for changing his name in 2008. Richard Branson of Virgin Airways is his uncle, Bustle reported, but that not the reason he changed his name.

According to a DailyMail report, the guy is a complete opposite of an extroverted Kate. He’s said to be playing house-husband to the actress who’s too busy with her acting career.

There’s no doubt that they love each other as the actress explained in an interview that he is “incredibly supportive”. Yes, an unsupportive man can’t be a house-husband, we all know that. He wipes, cleans and changes pampers. Great! Not bad, at all.

Rocknroll was involved in a threesome sex scandal with a yet-to-be named married celebrity. However, he used the “injunction” law to secure privacy on this matter against the media. To cover his dark past for the sake of his children, the handsome dude changed his last name to Rock n Roll. Sounds good, right?

In her words: “He’s the most enthusiastic person I have ever met in my life”. She adds: “He looks after all of us.”

In 2012, the actress was favored with a coveted award after she got listed in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for her blossoming career. She was crowned Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
