British actor John Boyega has announced the arrival of his first child with American actress and model Tae Heckard, months after the couple reportedly welcomed their baby boy in private.

The 34-year-old Star Wars star shared the joyful news on Instagram on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, posting photographs of himself with Heckard and a video showing him cradling their newborn.

Boyega thanked fans for their congratulations and well wishes, revealing that the baby had already been part of their lives for some time before he decided to make the announcement publicly.

“Our bundle of joy has been with us for some time now but thank you for all the well wishes. Also my sister is about to pop! Wish her well too!” he wrote.

The actor added a light-hearted comment about his new responsibilities as a father, writing: “Back to feeding this big baby!”

The announcement comes shortly after Boyega revealed that he had secretly married his partner nearly two years ago. The actor disclosed the development during a recent interview with The Guardian, surprising fans who had largely been unaware of his relationship status.
