Maison Margiela is a Belgian fashion designer and owner of the fashion house which goes by the same name.
He graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp, in 1979.
Margiela worked as a freelance designer for 5 years before before serving Jean Paul Gaultier between 1985 to 1987.
John Galliano was appointed as the creative director of Maison Martin Margiela in October, 2014.
He placed Margiela, who previously held the position.
