Chelsea have added former Leeds and Brighton goalkeeper Casper Ankergren to their coaching staff for the remainder of the season.
Goalkeeper coach Ankergren has joined temporarily as cover for another member of Chelsea’s coaching staff as they recover from surgery.
Ankergren has previously had first-team coaching roles at Brighton, Brondby and West Ham and will now support Chelsea’s first-team goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts for the rest of the season.
After retiring in 2017, Ankergren worked alongside Roberts at Brighton.
Roberts’ title at Chelsea is head of global goalkeeping, but he has become part of the coaching team under current head coach Liam Rosenior.
