Summary
The Assistant Deanfor Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for all financial affairsand financial data reporting and financial analytics for the A.B. FreemanSchool of Business. The Assistant Deanis responsible for developing the School’s annual budget, monthly financial reconciliations,and providing financial and budgetary projections and guidance to the Dean,Chief Business Officer, and members of the Dean’s leadership team. In addition, the Assistant Dean acts as the School’sprimary financial data officer, supporting and coordinating with other units onthe School’s responses to the surveys and reports related to financialreporting. The Assistant Dean will alsoprovide data analyses as requested by the dean and leadership team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong financial/accounting knowledge and skills, includingfamiliarity with non-profit accounting systems;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in computer softwareapplications such as financial spreadsheets, database management andspecialized financial and budgetary systems utilized by educationalinstitutions;
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal and communicationsskills, including the ability to work effectively in a team-orientedenvironment with senior-level School and University staff and administrators.

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Masters of Business Administration or CPA Certificationplus five (5) years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics orrelevant field and seven (7) years of relevant work experience

OrPreferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the financial operations of an institution for highereducation

Compensation Information
