Zidane’s Pep Talk inspired Real Madrid to Victory – Ronaldo

The scoreline between Real Madrid and Juventus was 4-1 in last night’s 2016-17 UEFA Champions League game , and Cristiano Ronaldo truly displayed an awesome performance with two record-breaking goals thanks to coach Zinedine Zidane’s inspiring team talk.

That pep talk from the 44-year-old football icon was all his team needed for victory.

Madrid achieved their dream of being the first team to lift the UEFA Champions League trophy back-to-back since the competition’s new format. And Ronaldo thanks Zidane for his big brother roles.

Juventus had hoped to spring up surprises against the game’s favorites with 1-1 at the interval, having starved for CL glory in the last 21 years.

Disappointingly for La Madama, Ronaldo’s first and third goals gave Los Blancos their 12th victory and tallied the footballer’s total career goals at 600 — 108 of which were scored in the Champions League competitions.

Ronaldo knew ahead of the Cardiff match that scoring goals would mean so much, and he worked hard for it, prayed, and waited for his chance to strike like an assassin.

Most football records have been shared between Ronaldo and his Barcelona rival, Lionel Messi, but the former was the first to score 100 UEFA Champions League goals, among other achievements.

“This is one of the best moments of my career but it seems I am able to say that every year,” he said after the historical success.

“People won’t be able to criticize me because the numbers don’t lie.

“I feel like dancing,” he added. ” I consider myself a man of this house (Real Madrid).

“This club is really in my heart and we are going to enjoy this. Today is a truly historic day for Real Madrid, for all Madrid fans.

“Zidane gave us a very positive halftime team talk and told us he really believed in us,” the Portuguese revealed about the Frenchman’s half-time team talk.
