Volodymyr Zelenskyy has discussed details of a peace deal with Saudi Arabia’s crown prince during an unexpected trip to the country today.
The Ukrainian president said he had a “meaningful and candid” conversation with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
“We discussed the Peace Formula’s points and the progress that can be made in implementing them. Saudi Arabia’s leadership can assist in finding equitable solutions,” he said.
Efforts with Ukraine partners in preparation for a peace summit in Switzerland later this year as well as “economic and technological cooperation” were also discussed, he added.
Over the weekend, Mr Zelenskyy said a peace deal will be presented to Russia this spring.
