Woman suffers emergency after her Ovarian Cyst busted during Sex

A Chinese woman whose ovarian cyst popped during sex with her husband nearly died after losing 40 percent of her blood.

Talking to a reporter about the medical emergency, Dr Huang Mei, who works with Hunan Provincial People’s hospital told XiaoXiang Morning Post that a woman’s ovarian cyst could bust from two possible ways.

Engaging in “very passionate sex” with one’s partner, and suffering high blood pressure during menstrual circle, she said, could lead to such incidents.

Xiao Qing, a 26-year-old woman, had been without her husband for six months. Feeling overwhelmed with joy and wanting every bit of him on his return, she threw caution to the winds and ended up in hospital.

The couple taught she was experiencing acute abdominal pain but were stunned to know they were wrong. The 40-percent blood loss could have claimed her life.

Dr Huang conducted a pregnancy test and confirmed her patient was negative. However, she found a large quantity of blood and fluid in her stomach and pelvic area.

The initial test was followed up with a diagnostic laparoscopy, also known as “keyhole surgery.” Surprisingly, the result showed she had hemoperitoneum, a medical term for “the presence of blood in the peritoneal cavity.”

Dr Huang said in a statement, ‘About 1,500ml of blood was found in her abdomen…That’s about 40 percent of the blood in her system.

‘…She’s a lucky woman,’ the doctor added. ‘The patient could have died if they wasted more time at home. It was a very dangerous risk.’

The NHS website says ovarian cysts or fluid-filled sacs that develop on a woman’s ovary are a common occurrence which rarely show symptoms. They randomly appear and disappear in a woman’s body – with no need for medical attention.

Xiao was just unfortunate with her bedroom desires. However, she made it. Alive.

But doctors discovered there was another 3-centimeter cyst in her right ovary. Bad news to good news, and a repeat, you’d say. The discovered sac was removed and Dr Huang certified her fit.
