Neymar’s outrageous transfer fee went into record books as the highest transfer fee in football history.
The Brazilian striker signed a five-year contract in the presence of the Club’s representatives to commit his football career to the French capital’s club until June 30 2022.
Paris Saint-Germain, in their first press release, said they’re “very happy to announce the arrival of Neymar Jr to the team” and expectations were high.
Speaking at a press conference, Neymar said: “I am extremely happy to join Paris Saint-Germain. Since I arrived in Europe, the club has always been one of the most competitive and most ambitious. And the biggest challenge, what most motivated me to join my new teammates is to help the club to conquer the titles that their fans want.”
He continued, “Paris Saint-Germain’s ambition attracted me to the club, along with the passion and the energy this brings. I played 4 seasons in Europe and I feel ready to take the challenge.
“From today, I will do everything I can to help my new teammates, to open up new horizons for my club and to bring happiness to its millions of supporters around the world.”
Now, the last part of that press statement is causing ripples at the club because Neymar has woefully failed to keep his promise.

The report quotes PSG bosses as telling fans to be mindful of what they have before they lose it.
According to the tabloid, Neymar’s current physical condition isn’t the only challenge. He suffered a strain on his right thigh, yet, there’s hope that he will be fit for matches soon but his biggest problem is the fact that PSG fans are hating on him for an alleged arrogance.
Problem started since Neymar denied Edison Cavani a chance to make history as the club’s highest goalscorer through a penalty. The Uruguayan forward was heading PSG’s attack line before his Brazilian rival arrived as an overbearing star.
Although the club management denied any rift between both players, claiming it was a simple misplacement of priority, fans are having none of the power tussle.

“The whistles? They were in the context of that moment. The fans love all the players and they’re smart,” the coach said on Tuesday. “I’m sure that if he’s on the pitch tomorrow, he’ll have their support.”
Petit elaborated on the statement saying, “Was it really worth turning on Neymar after the show he gave us? I don’t think so. If he gets frozen out from the stands, the fans could be shooting themselves in the foot if the next day Neymar asks to leave. Then we’d all cry.”
They shouldn’t hate him to be honest
If the hate doesn’t stop his mega-millions from flowing, no troubles. They can hit their damn heads on the rock.
Neymar is one of my favourites. Just like all other footballers, there are fans and haters. PSG fans could have a million reasons to hate him but if they’re smart enough to see what their management saw before breaking the bank for his services, they’d have a rethink and understand that giving him all the support they’ve got is the only way to be happy. The surest way, in fact.
