When a man cries, there’s something deep within his heart the eyes can’t see

Pep Guardiola’s wife filed for divorce recently.

Her excuse was that Pep had no time for the family and that he was all about football.

Among his contemporaries, Pep Guardiola was the best. He’s been busy with football for about 2 decades now, dominating the space like a colossus.

Pep has won everything winnable in football. He dominated Spain. He mesmerized Germany. He conquered England. He commanded Europe.

The famous Manchester City boss continued to receive accolades and medals.

But the reward for a job well done is more work.

To get to the pinnacle is not much of a problem as to how to sustain the tempo and the momentum. He needed to be on his toes always.

Recently, he has been receiving beatings up and down. Some fans attribute this to the absence of Rodri in his team. Some of us, genuine followers of football and admirers of the iconic Pep, would not take such excuse.

Pep is damn too good for that. He has missed key players on occasion, and it didn’t take him this long to recover. We all really couldn’t precisely decipher what the problem was. Now, it is crystal clear. Pep was going through domestic technical problems.

The wife is set to divorce him. Now, it is reported that the wife was awarded half of Pep’s property and his biggest mansion in Manchester. He was not accused of domestic violence or infidelity. He was “just too busy with football.” The monies that he made from football, he used it to pamper this woman. The property that this woman is going to ‘eat’ is a proceed of Pep’s football sweat.

It is quite unfortunate. I pity Pep, and I wish him well.
