Ivan Fandino, a famous bullfighter from Orduna, Spain, was gored to death by a raging bull in far away France.
Fandino, 36, received emergency treatments in the bullring’s surgery room, but died on his way to the hospital. He suffered two heart attacks, and was pronounced dead on arrival.
The famous matador had previously come close to death while fighting bulls throughout his amazing career.
Here’s a YouTube video from the bullfighter’s February performance in Valdemorillo, Spain.
Fellow matadors Juan Del Alamo and Thomas Dufau did justice to the bull which killed Fandigo during his last performance at the Aire-sur-l’Adour bullfighting festival in France.
His death occurs at a time when authorities are making efforts to clamp down on the sport which critics consider a violation of animal rights.
Fandino has been a matador for 12 years. He is survived by a wife and beautiful daughter.
He will be remembered for his jaw-dropping 2012 performance in Bilbao, his hometown, where he killed a total of six bulls which were unleashed from different breeders.
