US official denies Houthi attack on American warship
A short time ago, we reported on Houthi claims that the rebels had attacked a US navy warship with a rocket (see 6.49am post).
The group claimed it had fired at the USS Lewis B Puller yesterday.
A US defence official has now told the Associated Press news agency that no such attack has been reported.
The official, who wished to remain anonymous, gave no further details.
