Israel accuses UN employees of terrorism

UNRWA employees accused of taking part in kibbutz attack and taking hostages – report

Employees of the United Nations’ Palestinian agency (UNRWA) are accused of taking part in kibbutz massacres and of taking hostages, according to a report.

The New York Times cites a dossier sent to the US government as saying one employee assisted in kidnapping a woman from Israel.

Another, reportedly a social worker from Nuseirat, in central Gaza, “is accused of helping to bring the body of a dead Israeli soldier to Gaza, as well as distributing ammunition and coordinating vehicles on the day of the attack”.

A third employee is “described as taking part in the massacre at a kibbutz where 97 people died” – which the Times of Israel suggests is Kibbutz Be’eri.

The organisation sacked several people in response to the allegations, put forward by Israel, and said it was investigating the claims.
