Trump sets deadline for Iran to reopen Strait

Donald Trump has just posted on social media yet again, seemingly clarifying his deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

He says: “Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!”

Trump has threatened to target critical Iranian infrastructure if the key shipping route is not reopened by the end of his deadlines.

He said Tuesday would be “power plant day and bridge day all wrapped in one”.

However, he’s also suggested there’s a “good chance” of Iran making a deal by tomorrow, telling Fox News that Tehran is “negotiating now”.

Iran’s parliament speaker says Trump’s ‘reckless moves’ will cause ‘whole region to burn’

The speaker of the Iranian parliament says Donald Trump’s “reckless moves are dragging the US into a living hell”.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf says in a post on X that “our whole region is going to burn because you insist on following [Benjamin] Netanyahu’s commands”.

“Make no mistake: You won’t gain anything through war crimes. The only real solution is respecting the rights of the Iranian people and ending this dangerous game.”
