Ilma Gore may be insane, disrespectful or even shameless but her painting depicting Donald Trump with a small penis isn’t any of those. Otherwise, why would the price keep increasing since it was displayed in February at the Maddox Gallery in London?
The most recent report has confirmed that the U.S. Republican Presidential candidate’s nude painting is now valued at £1million.
Ilma Gore was issued an online copy of Digital Millennium Copyright Act notice after her Facebook account was blocked to stop sharing of the said picture. The painting has also been banned on ebay against online sales.
Despite threats of legal actions and even assassination from anonymous Donald Trump’s representatives if she sells the painting, the female artist with questionable character may not succumb. Her history shows she’s a fearless person.
If she had the courage to make such a controversial painting of a presidential hopeful, why would someone think threats can stop her now?
Closing the bid with £1million price tag may be the best move for anyone who wants to destroy the painting forever, or at least, keep it safe from the ‘enemies’.
This is politics in play.
Ilma Gore knew that before she started with the piece. She knew Facebook, twitter and ebay would shut down her accounts to stop the sales. She probably knew she might end up dead for her daring efforts.
But even in her grave, she would be smiling knowing that she has made a name with the masterpiece and will forever be making toasts with the the likes of Pablo Picasso, Leonardo Da Vinci and even the almighty Michelangelo Buonarroti.
The masterpiece by Ilma Gore titled Make America Great Again has caused a lot of controversies around the world because it showed Donald Trump with a small penis.
Hundreds of visitors have queued up to catch a glimpse of the painting in London since it was put on display.
Gore said: “The reaction, especially in the UK, has been incredibly supportive. Everywhere apart from America has been great. Who knew it would be such a big deal? I think an artist’s job is to take the times we’re living in and then set the scene. It is a representation of where we are.”
The painter escaped for her dear life from the U.S. to London and had to allow the Mayfair Gallery to manage the sales of the painting.
Maddox Gallery Director, Cordelia de Freitas said: “It only really got out of hand when Donald Trump referenced it in a debate, which sums up Trump and his ego. From there, everyone wanted to see this image.”
Ilma Gore’s work is believed to have been inspired by Marco Rubio’s comments about the size of Trump’s hands at a Virginia rally in late February.
Marco had commented about Donald Trump saying: “And you know what they say about men with small hands? You can’t trust them.”
One thing led to another and the Republican presidential aspirant responded on 3 March: “[Rubio] referred to my hands, if they are small, something else must be small. I guarantee you there is no problem. I guarantee.”
It was at this point that the painter had a quick thought about the man’s penis and went to work. Now see what her thinking brought – money, fame and probably death.
Now it the time to trust in God.
