Suarez Advises Barcelona To Be Wise With Lionel Messi.

Lionel Messi may have lost a lot to his rival Cristiano Ronaldo but the Argentine hasn’t given up – not even with his recent exploits as “the world’s best free-kick taker”.

The famous No. 10 recently ran riot with goals from dead balls though he’s yet to sign a contract extension with Barca.

Messi scored free kick goals for La Blaugranas in their Copa del Rey first leg match against Athletic Bilbao at San Mames. He also scored in Barca’s victory over Villarreal during their La Liga derby, and another one as they met Bilbao again.

The 29-year-old’s first three goals since this year has been through some silky free kicks.

“Congratulations on scoring your 26th free kick goal,” Ronald Koeman, the former Netherlands defender, wrote in his congratulatory message to Messi.

“One to go to break another record,” Koeman added.

Unfortunately for the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner, his best friends – Neymar and Suarez, have already secured their future with the Spanish giants while Barca CEO Oscar Grau claims there’s a great chance Messi will leave.

According to a report from Marca, Grau suggests that the club’s purse has been upended since both South American stars got their contracts with Messi lagging behind.

However, Suarez has urged Barcelona management to apply common sense and reach an agreement with their legendary player.

“Messi is the best player in the world, what has to be done is that the club needs to renew his contract and to not use common sense,” he said.

Lionel Messi’s contract at Camp Nou has been a problem since last summer when he notified the club of his intentions to leave.
