SBU neutralizes ‘underground FSB network’ of spies directing airstrikes

Ukraine’s SBU security service says it has neutralised an underground network of Russian spies who were directing rocket attacks on Ukrainian soil.

It said an “underground FSB cell” was exposed and arrested as part of a multi-stage operation in Kherson.

It shared a video showing one of the suspects being detained, which can be seen below.

The SBU said it detained “all three” members of the group, who allegedly contacted Russian forces and corrected their coordinates for strikes.

“Members began to determine the coordinates of compact buildings and residences of citizens on the territory of Kherson,” it said.

“They were also interested in the main bases and movement routes of the [Ukrainian] Defence Forces in the city and its surroundings.”
