The cause of Johnny Depp’s divorce from wife Amber Heard has been revealed. It’s rather disheartening that such a loving couple could dissolve their marriage due to external influences.
Reports confirm that Depp and Heard met on the set of 2011’s The Rum Diary. The couple kicked off a romance that saw them walk the down the aisle in 2015.
The marriage lasted barely 15 months as the actor has requested that divorce proceedings be completed immediately.
Following the news of Depp’s divorce, reports have surfaced that the 52-year-old actor’s family — particularly his mother, Betty Sue Palmer, who died Friday at age 81 — never had love for Heard.
Although reasons for the friction between these two women hasn’t been made public, but rumors have it that Depp would rather get a divorce even at the death of his mother. This is a pointer that whatever was the case, remained unsolved and the actor won’t live with it.
Apparently, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor won’t forgive Amber for daring his mother especially if the deceased did no wrong.
Johnny Depp’s representative told US Weekly in a statement on Thursday, May 26 that the actor is looking for an easy way to get this divorce done with.
According to a statement from the rep: “Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent trend and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the spacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life.
“Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”
Depp was previously married to Vanessa Paradis in a marriage that stood for 14 years; he and the French actress-singer share daughter Lily-Rose, 16, and Jack, 14.
If Depp’s mother Betty Sue Palmer was part of the “irreconcilable differences” in the marriage, would you think this divorce could be in respect for the dead?
