On Thursday, NYPD released video footage from the venue that shows Troy Ave firing a gun inside the green room area on the 3rd floor of the building.
According to ABC7, the 30-year-old artist has been charged with weapons possesion and reckless endangerment.
Emergency services responded quickly to the scene to treat three unidentified male victims and one female.
One 33-year-old male victim Ronald (Edgar) McPhatter, was shot in the stomach before being rushed to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Another male victim was shot in the chest, while a third suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. The female victim suffered an injury to her leg as well but is currently in a stable condition at Beth Israel Hospital. There’s also a fourth 34-year-old man shot in the chest who was rushed to Bellevue Hospital for urgent treatments.
Troy Ave (real names, Roland Collins) shot himself in the leg during a scuffle at the club, NYPD said in an official statement.
According to police reports, the rapper and his unfortunate victims were given access to the VIP/green room area. However, authorities are yet unsure if he had accomplices.
Detectives are waiting for results from ballistics evidence in order to confirm if Troy Ave will face additional charges.
Meanwhile, rapper T.I. whose total networth stands at $50million has spoken about the incident.
