Four killed in Israeli strike on car in Lebanon – reports

Four people have been killed in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese state news agency NNA.

The strike targeted a car near the southern city of Tyre and about seven miles north of the border with Israel.

It follows another Israeli attack in the same region earlier which reportedly killed three people – including two journalists (see 10.32 post).

News organisation Al Mayadeen has accused Israel of “deliberately” targeting its workers.

The Israeli military has yet to comment on Al Mayadeen’s accusations. But its air force did post on X earlier today saying operations had been carried out in Lebanon targeting “anti-tank squads” and “terrorist targets”.
