Lucy Hale of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ reveals why she stopped drinking

Lucy Hale of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ has taken back her life after saying goodbye to the bottle, having struggled with the pressures of carving out her niche in Hollywood’s star-studded arena.

“I’m almost 28…I think I only just figured out who I was a year ago,” she told Byrdie in a recent interview.

The 27-year-old actress-singer tried a lot of therapies to transform her profession and personal life. She turned away from drinking and embraced religion (something she prefers to call SoulCycle) in order to link up with people she could depend on for inspiration.

“I’m just always trying to surround myself with better people and be the best version of myself possible. I know it sounds obnoxious to hear people say that, but why not?” she explained.

Karen Lucille “Lucy” Hale has lived under the radar recently but says she’s missing nothing at all. At least, the star no longer craves for Hollywood’s night life since finding her calling.

During her conversation with Byrdie, the “Road Between” singer gave credit to SoulCycle for the peace in her heart. She also swore that the group was responsible for her total transformation — mind and soul.

“I go home, and my dad’s like, ‘You L.A. hippie with your crystals and your SoulCycle!’ she said about her father’s excitement. “I always used to make fun of those people, but now I think it’s just magic.”

Lucy suffered an eating disorder in 2012.

She named Shania Twain and Faith Hill as her musical influences. Although music is Lucy’s “first love,” she confessed that what ignited her interest in pursuing music was Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time.”
