A decision is a course of action chosen from available alternatives; getting to choose whether to go with option A, B or C. Making a decision is what we all must do at every point of our lives. But making a good decision is what many of us fail to achieve, sometimes because of our ignorance, impatience, fears, neglect of the future consequences etc. Whenever we make a wrong decision based on these factors stated, it usually ends in regrets.
Now let’s be practical. Have you ever contemplated on these two proverbs “Opportunity comes but once” and “A patient dog eats the fattest bone?” These two proverbs can be really confusing, right? It’s just like saying “I’ve been searching for a job for a very long time, this is the opportunity I have to grab it” then another voice tells you “relax, be patient, don’t settle for less. Something big is on it’s way”. They’re are both giving you good reasons to follow the message they are passing.
All you have to do is weigh the available alternatives, survey them and their possible consequences then you would be able to see clearly the one with a promising and satisfactory result.
Never be in a hurry to make a decision because whatever we decide today has a way of manifesting itself again in the future.
Calm down, think, analyse, weigh and then choose. But always remember to analyse if the value achieved is worth the sacrifice. You can make a difference with good decisions.
