Gonzalo Higuain Given Ultimatum To Lose Weight Or…

Gonzalo Higuain arrived Juventus from Napoli on a £75 million record transfer fee, following his exploits during the 2015-16 Serie A season where he scored 36 goals in total, crowning himself the “Highest Goal Scorer”. The transaction was completed during this summer window a couple of days ago.

However, the 28-year-old returned to Juve for the new season looking like a “pig”, according to Robert Prosinecki [a former Real Madrid and Barca player].

The Argentina international footballer featured for Juventus in Sunday’s derby against West Ham, looking chubby and unfit for a player who just shot to limelight with a resounding transfer fee amount.

His tight fitting jersey gave him the worst appearance, or worse still, exposed how much treats he gave himself for a successful 2015/16 season.

“It prompted fans to mock Max Allegri for spending such a huge amount of money on a player who clearly had a number of extra portions during his summer holiday,” The Sun wrote.

According to reports from Italy, Gonzalo Higuain has been put on a strict diet by the Italian giants.

And former Real Madrid striker Robert Prosinecki went a step further by calling Higuain ‘a little pig’, exclaiming: “I was shocked to see him, he’s even more fat than me!”

“They paid 94 million [sic] for him and he’s arrived as a ‘little pig’!”

Other reports confirm the clubs aren’t overlooking the urgent need to get Higuain back in shape before the games heat up.

An Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claims the striker has been placed on a controlled diet – with even his housekeeper ordered to keep an eye on his fridge!

If he did it before, it’s believed he can do it again. But he will need to do it the hard way this time considering that his rival at the club Paulo Dybala proved to be in fine form during Juve’s impressive pre-season.
