We have received confirmation now from Bristol Airport that flight operations have been suspended until later tonight.
A spokesperson for the airport said staff had been working hard to clear snow, but the decision was eventually taken due to the “challenging weather”.
The suspension will mainly impact inbound flights, the spokesperson said, and customers are advised to contact airlines for more information.
There are no further details at this stage as to when flight operations might resume.
Here is how the departures board for tonight is currently looking, with just a few flights left.

The arrivals board is a lot busier, and shows several delays, cancellations and diversions to Cardiff and Birmingham.

Meanwhile, Megabus UK has said its buses are not serving the airport this evening due to the weather.
The company will post updates when service resumes, a spokesperson said on X.
Further power cuts – as second amber warning now in force
We reported details of a power cut in Bristol earlier, and now National Grid has confirmed other incidents across the UK.
Work is in replace to restore power in areas across the Midlands, the South West, and South Wales, including in Birmingham and Cardiff, it said.
It comes as the Met Office’s second amber weather warning, for the North, is now in force, having started at 9pm.
Snow will spread across the region tonight and through to tomorrow morning.
“Snow will be persistent and heavy at times, and will likely drift in brisk easterly winds, especially over higher ground,” the Met Office has said.
The first amber warning, covering Wales, the South West and part of the Midlands, began at 6pm.
