Police in Wiltshire have warned people to stay off the roads.
“The weather has turned very quickly and causing chaos all over the county, do not travel unless absolutely necessary!” the force’s special constabulary posted on X.
Roads are being closed “due to amount of incidents” in the snow, they said.
Flights diverted from Bristol Airport
As we reported earlier, Bristol Airport has said that snowfall in the area may result in some delays to flights.
Through the tracking website FlightRadar, we can see at least nine flights set to arrive at the airport have been diverted – and are heading to Birmingham, Cardiff and Belfast.
At least 18 flights either arriving or departing from the airport have been delayed.
So far, two departing flights have been cancelled.
It is unclear how many of these delays and cancellations have been caused by the weather.

Several collisions on motorway
Staying in the South West, there are also problems on the roads.
Traffic has been stopped on the M5 southbound between junction 24 at Bridgwater and junction 25 at Taunton, in Somerset, due to a collision.
Drivers have been warned to expect long delays, National Highways South West said on X.
There have also been “a number of collisions” elsewhere on the motorway, in both directions, between junction 21 at Weston-super-Mare and junction 25.
