Beautiful Moscow welcomes winter with colorful Skating Competitions

The winter season has officially started with freezing temperatures in Moscow, Russia, and residents are celebrating in every nook and corner of the city. Some beautiful outdoor skating rings were opened for festivities on 28 November.

As reported by Russia’s state-owned news outlet Sputnik, the pictures below were taken at the amazing light show which was held at VDNKh’s skating rink.

Reports confirm the venue at VDNKh has become the largest ice rink in Europe for the third year in a row.

Spectators who attended the opening show of the Hermitage Garden’s skating rink enjoyed a Venetian carnival.

Another beautiful venue, the Lyod skating rink, which opened in the Sokolniki Park, was recognized one of the most colorful and modern rinks in Moscow. The report says its artificial ice does not depend on weather conditions due to the unique technology used to create it.
