The pictures below show a five-star hotel under construction in Shanghai, China. It’s located in a very deep hole, that ensures maximum security for occupants.

According to reports, the hotel is located in an 80-meter-deep stone pit which was developed by the Japanese military right here in China, during the War of Resistance against Japan. So there’s a lot of history behind this wonderful monument.
When completed, the hotel will have 370 rooms in total.

Surprisingly, the building has a plan for 17 floors underground. There’ll be an additional two floors under water and another two floors above the ground.

The construction of this 21-storey building began in 2006 and will hopefully be completed in 2017.
