Zara reopening stores in Ukraine

The owner of Spanish clothing chain Zara says it plans to gradually reopen stores in Ukraine from 1 April.

Inditex closed all its Ukraine stores on the day of the Russian invasion in 2022, but says circumstances have since evolved.

In a statement today, the company said its priority “continues to be the safety of its employees and customers”.

Inditex had 72 stores open in Ukraine in 2019.
