Why Tinubu Needs to Resign, Atiku’s Aide Insists

A spokesperson for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has issued a sharp critique of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, arguing that the country’s current trajectory demands an immediate change at the top.

According to the presidential aide, the administration has failed to address critical issues facing the nation, leading to what he describes as a state of emergency in governance and the economy. In a blunt assessment, he declared that “The President cannot manage this country again,” and went further to insist that “He should resign because he can’t manage the country again.”

He argued that the current situation has made it impossible for ordinary citizens to cope with daily realities, and that stepping down would be in the best interest of national stability.

The aide also moved to distance his principal from any speculation about a political motive, clarifying that the opposition leader is not positioning himself for a return. He stated plainly that “Atiku will not be a part of it. Nigeria has gone beyond that,” adding that what the nation truly requires is a complete shift in approach.

“What we need now is a technocratic government,” he emphasised, suggesting that a team of experts rather than career politicians should be entrusted with steering the country away from its current challenges.

The statement concluded with a stark warning about the future under the existing leadership, reiterating that the President can no longer effectively manage the affairs of state in the present climate.
