Why Kanye West met Donald Trump without Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian isn’t known as the type who would get a rare chance to meet America’s president-elect and say “NO” to it. However, media reports have confirmed why the reality TV star chose to be at home instead of joining her hubby for such a great occasion.

Despite Kanye West’s health troubles, the “Graduation” rapper held a meeting with the next U.S. Commander-in-Chief. And the internet went crazy with emotions.

A report from Hollywood Life.com quotes a source as revealing that it wasn’t as if Kimmy didn’t want to officially welcome Donald Trump. She just didn’t feel like being there. Strange, isn’t it?

“Kim was also invited to the Trump meeting with Kanye, but turned down the opportunity. She did not want to join for several reasons, but mostly because she is not a supporter of Trump,” the tipster said.

Though Kim couldn’t make it to the meeting, she ensured that a family member would be there to watch her hubby.

Momager Kris Jenner’s lover boy, Corey Gamble, was present at the meeting between Kanye and Trump in New York.

“It was Kim’s mother Kris who insisted that Corey Gamble go on Kim’s behalf, and Kim loved the idea so Kanye agreed. Kris wanted Corey to be a kind of spy and chaperone for Kanye to make sure he behaved himself during the big meeting.

“Kris and Kim also trusted Corey to report back all the details,” the insider reveals to Hollywood Life.

“After everything Kanye has been through lately, he was glad to have someone from the family along for emotional support.”

Meanwhile, the newly blonde haired Kanye kept the internet busy with live updates. He explained via Twitter why he would love to work with the U.S. president-elect:

Before he was hospitalized on 21 November, Kanye said during his performance in San Jose: “I told y’all I didn’t vote, right? But if I were to vote, I would have voted on Trump.”

He continued: “I just said that I would have voted for Donald Trump and then I did a song and y’all sang it at the top of your lungs. That doesn’t mean that you’re a Trump supporter. That just means you OK with a celebrity having their own opinion. Or that someone else is OK to have their own opinion. That might not be your opinion but you can still like that person or still like that person’s music.”

Kanye’s tweets ended with a cryptic message, #2024, which many are speculating to signify his political ambition.

Trump recently made reference to the rapper’s 2105 declaration of interest in politics. He surprisingly encouraged the father-of-two who seem to have a thing for the Republican representative.

In his words during an interview with Rolling Stone: “He’s said very nice things about me in the past… extremely positive things.

“He’s actually a different kind of person than people think. He’s a nice guy. I hope to run against him someday.”

  1. Kim gave her support to Hillary and for other “vulgar” and “feminist” reasons, she doesn’t like Trump. Kanye was neutral and said he didn’t vote. No big deal about her withdrawal from the meeting. Kim is being loyal to Clinton.
