What you probably didn’t know about the Republic of Lebanon

Do you know that Lebanon, which borders Israel and Syria, was a former French colony?

Lebanon became an independent country in 1943 and has faced a harsh economic and military conflicts, even in its role as “a refugee home” in nearly 7 years of the Syrian crisis.

The Republic of Lebanon houses over 2 million refugees.

Notably, the Lebanese government has also played a pivotal role in the fight against Daesh and Jabhat al-Nusra militants on the Syrian border, where terrorists consider a vantage position.
