As we mentioned in our previous post, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has said he’ll soon interview Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
He made the announcement in a four-minute video posted on X, explaining why he was conducting the interview, but he also took aim at Western journalists, accusing them of spreading Ukrainian propaganda and “not bothering” to talk to Mr Putin.
This morning, a number of Western journalists disputed his claims, calling him “absurd”.
Steve Rosenburg, the Russia editor for BBC News, said several interview requests had been made to the Kremlin over the last 18 months and the answer had always been no.
Christiane Amanpour, CNN’s chief international anchor, said the news organisation had been asking for an interview with Mr Putin for years.
