The Met Office has released more details about the thunderstorms predicted to hit parts of Britain tonight.
Radar shows that the storm will move eastwards, with the warning starting at 3pm and running until 10pm tonight.
The storm activity will centre on Doncaster, before shifting to Derby and Oxford and the surrounding areas.
The Met Office issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms earlier, covering the below areas:
- East Midlands
- East of England
- London and South East England
- North West England
- South West England
- West Midlands
- Yorkshire and Humber
Londoners soak up the sun in Hyde Park
Despite the soaring temperatures, people have flocked to Hyde Park to soak up the sun.
Many were pictured tanning in the sun, while others were relaxing in the boating pond.
