Thoughts of Love.

“The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves.”

 

When you love someone at first, you find them to be perfect. Unfortunately, as humans, there’ll always be imperfections later on which might force you to change your perception about love. But that’s when you’re challenged to know what love is.

“You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”

No matter how rough the road gets, “you’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching. Love like you’ll never be hurt, sing like there’s nobody listening, and live like it’s heaven on earth.”

If you’ve seen yourself back out from your loved ones in times of trouble, know it this day that you never loved them at all.

If you gave your all and it wasn’t appreciated, dust it off and move on. A loved one who ducked when the lights went off probably never felt something in the beginning. If at all they felt something – I don’t know what that was – but I’m sure it isn’t love.

Marilyn Monroe said: “I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.”

One might ask, ‘what’s love after all?’ Some say it doesn’t exist and others say they can’t tell when it’s love.

“In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon.

“You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you.

“You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end.

“Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”

 

It’s right to say that those who really feel true love, are those who’ve seen hell in love.

“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn’t it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up.” But do we stop loving for the fear of heart-break?

“Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.”

If you want a faithful spouse, make yourself one. You can’t expect true love while clothing yourself in selfishness.
